I interviewed for this role at Google, so hopefully I can give you a little insight. I had 2 ML rounds. First asked about my experience in language modeling, how to design a recommendation system, and write kmeans algorithm from scratch. The second asked about a model I built in depth and went over bias-variance, validation techniques, and regularization methods. He also asked me to implement sparse matrix multiplication.
