Software Engineering at Apple
Curious to hear from the folks at Apple — how is it working there for software engineers? Is there anything special about the culture or benefits that makes it better than other companies? Have things changed recently after the boom/layoffs? For reference, I work mostly on backend cloud services, with some experience in low-level systems (although, I’d really prefer not to work in C anymore). #engineering #software #swe #apple
There is a lot of really gross stuff and old archaic processes with Apple Cloud. Some stuff is on AWS, but they mostly run their own cloud with their own internal tooling, so don’t expect state-of-the-art tech.
