Amusing story of my nutty wife. I told her a show she likes is on TV so she comes in to watch. I missed something that was said and asked her. She didn't hear it. So I rewind it. She gets pretty aggressive telling me not to rewind it. I rewind it the 30 seconds anyways because I don't see what the big deal is. So she keeps almost yelling at me to not rewind it. I ask " What's the big deal? Why do you get so mad about going back 30 seconds? I just want to follow the story" So, at this point, she realizes I rewound it because I wanted to follow the story, and not because SHE didn't know what happened. Basically, I wasn't doing it for her. So she says "of course you didn't do it for me. You probably wouldn't even have rewound it for me" and starts muttering under her breath. She then proceeds to get angry at me because in the event that she did want me to rewind it, she thinks I wouldn't. So she stomps off and slams the door. So, I'm sitting downstairs now, having only spoken 2 sentences asking why she cares so much about me rewinding it, and am in trouble with an angry wife for a situation that didn't happen and my hypothetical actions in the event the situation that didn't happen, did happen. Some women are nuts!
Going to take a wild guess she’s upset about something other than your TV manipulation habits.

I have learnt sometime back that when you REWIND that tv program your other half loves watching, your life will be REWINDED and old shit would be surfaced and now you are in a new drama with the TV PAUSED... #BeKindAndRewind

Lol thank you for sharing. So many good burns in this thread. Maybe watch all shows in the future with subtitles on. It was weird at first for me, but now I don’t watch any shows without it.

Your attempt to rewind the moment in the show signifies your attempt rewind a major screwup you did to her in the recent past related to something that she loves dearly. Clearly she doesn’t think that you can undo the damage that you obliviously did to her on that occasion and your futile attempts to try to turn back the time further exacerbate the situation.
