I will start posting the horror stories I had while working for SpaceX a few years ago. I will tell one story at each post. I worked on Starlink, layout team. Story number one: You are on your own First day at work, I come in, 2 coworkers come picked me up with bikes and took me t my desk. I got there my manager looked at me and she told me I am busy and she asked a coworker to give me instructions how to start my computer. She did not even say hi. I started my computer and started doing orientation stuff. No tour was offered, no one showed me the lunch area or the restroom!! My coworker did not come and say hi, no one introduced yo the team. I moved from my desk and started to ask people about their name hoping to have a regular first day. I waited all day to talk to my manager thinking she will take me to lunch with the team. Sure enough that never happened. Waited on my desk until 7pm as none of my coworkers left, I didn’t want to be first one to leave. At 7pm I was like I f*ck it. I took my stuff and said have a good night to my manager, sitting across. She said: “Do you think you did enough work today “ i was like it is my first day I do not have projects yet. I am doing orientation stuff. She said “well, you must finish the orientation soon, I have a big project with short timeline to you!” I was ok i look forward for it. I left home realizing the big mistake I made. Realizing that my team give no value to me. Treated me unprofessionally and realized I have a horrible manager who still works there btw.
