BAL is asking me to provide documentation for specialty occupation RFE. Is this normal? Did anyone work with BAL on RFEs before? If so, What’s your experience regarding BAL handling RFE? Edit: They want me to provide 4 paragraphs documentation detailing the projects I will be working on at my next employer. P.S.: Didn’t join yet.
Yes this is more common now. It’s also more important now to be accurate and complete with your paperwork.
What is the documentation they are asking for exactly? I had BAL handle my rfe and it worked out ok, though it was slow
Maybe because I’m pushing them to do it sooner. Even I thought they’ll handle. Pissed off after seeing that email. They want me provide everything. It looks like they’re just gonna post it.
I never had experience with BAL but typically you should provide details about you past education and what courses are relevant to the job and then breakdown your duties
Added more details.
RFEs are more common these days, but a lot of them are just stalling tactic. Don't worry about it. BAL is quite capable of handling them. (Speaking from experience.)
As you had experience with BAL, Can you let me know how much time did BAL take to file a rfe response to USCIS. And after how many days did the case get approved. I am in the same boat and the BAL attorney says 6 to 8 weeks to just file the response.
That additional request is important. Companies can no longer use a visa to hire a person for a different job than is stated on the visa, supposedly.
Shouldn’t speciality occupation address on how your education is specialized enough to work on this position? Not sure why the lawyers wanted to details of projects? I am expecting them to ask you to provide documentation about your qualifications.
Companies developed the habit of using specialty job titles just to get the visa approved. It was illegal. Now there’s extra scrutiny.
When you got RFE....?
