Hi all, I'm considering a move to Spotify as a Senior SWE in the US. This is the package I've been offered. Base: $225K RSU: $254K / 4 years (~$64K/Year) TC: $289K It seems like a competitive base pay, but the RSUs are a little lower. Think I would like to negotiate that a little higher. I don't have a competing offer at the moment, so I'll have to make a good case for another BATNA (aka stay where I am). I may be up for a Staff promo at Twilio in the next cycle, but I don't want to wait around just on chances to get promo since this would be a jump in TC. Thoughts on the offer? Current TC: $204K YOE: 7 Location: LCOL/MCOL Remote @Spotify #spotify
I think that’s a great offer for Spotify. I got down-leveled there a couple months ago and still bitter about it lol.
I may be the odd one, but I prefer higher base because RSUs can fluctuate a lot and taxes eat a large chunk of it. I would love an offer like that, congrats!
Aren't RSUs taxed like base if you sell immediately?
Do you think twilio is still safe after recent layoffs? If not Spotify might be the right move
I would say it's likely org dependent. There's a big push for Flex + Segment to be successful, so any orgs that don't align closely to those (including mine) are at risk. Thanks for the input!
How was the interview? LeetCode heavy?
I was given two easy/medium LCs during the phone screen. None for the onsite.
Thank you!
Is it good time to join Spotify. I have an offer from London. Can someone from Spotify comment what is the situation
