Spotify Senior Engineer Offer
TC: 300K, YOE: 6, Currently L6 at Amazon in Bay Area I just heard back from Spotify that they would extend me offer. I wanted to know what will be a good offer (TC) I should provide when asked for expectations? The offer from Spotify is flexible between Boston and NYC.
Good offer — take it. Based on what I heard, Spotify is very laid back environment with good benefits. It would be like half the work pressure from amazon, 23 days pto, free food and many others.
Is it possible to make to L6 with 6 years experience? I thought it would take at least 10 years?
Fast track promotions because of involvement with high risk, high visibility projects (all the way to Jeff) which actually was success. PS: External hire for L6 has super high bar. It is easy internally to get promoted than to be hired externally at L6
