What happens when most of your team is Indian?
What's your pick for a mid-level engineer?
Do the takehome
Any advice on what they might be looking for?
The take home is way better. You get a chance to show your actual skills with tech you're comfortable with. They'll be looking for the same stuff you'd presumably be looking for when reviewing PRs. Sound architecture, performance considerations, idiomatic code style, testable units of code, etc etc
Most android take home are about pulling data from an endpoint and displaying in a recycler view. Make it * best practices * I guess. That being said, I feel it’s less of a waste of time doing leetcode because the prep you put in comes in handy for other interviews too. Your time spent doing the take home project will be that much more upsetting if you don’t clear it.
Hey DMed you for some help clarification
Op DMed you for some clarification/help
If take home, then no leetcode or live coding?
I'll find out soon and get back to you, but I've only seen the option itself given
You do some live coding on the take-home project if you pass that stage (not leetcode though)
