I have an onsite coming with Square for Android developer position. Can anyone guide me through the process as in how should I prepare for the interview? The rounds consists of 2 extending the take home project, 1 system design and 1 HM interview. I will really appreciate if anyone can provide their experiences on what functionalities they might ask us to add in the take home project during the pair coding interview. #square #software #engineering
Think of two ways you'd extend your current project and practice that. If you've ever been in other Android interviews where you extend take-homes you'll find this is very similar.
How did your on-site go? Mine is coming up soon and I can’t seem to find any info on the scope/topics of the extensions and any examples
Please look at your dm ..I have a question🙏
You don't have to do any prep for the pairing segments, the additions to the take-home project aren't anything weird/leetcode/outside the realm of anything you've probably already done as an android dev before. When I did the "system design" part it was mostly questions/talking about how good android apps are architected. Talking with hiring managers for team matching is super casual, you should use it as a reverse interview to figure out what you'd be doing if hired for the team
Thanks @andr01d Just curious.. what functionality have you added to the take-home project during the 2 pair round interview?
