The Android tech stack at square looks amazing, very progressive and uses Kotlin multi platform etc (treehouse, redwood, Zipline). I miss being in an environment like that, but I otherwise enjoy working at Google. How much of a pay cut am I looking at if going to square/cash app? TC ~450k
Yoe?
Pay will be the same for L6 at square most likely
Pretty sure it’ll be similar as a buddy of mine is at google at 5 in Eng at g, I’m 6 on product at sq, the diff is pretty proportional and if we were both same they’d be very close - at least base pay
Pretty sure SQ would pay more if not the same
What does an Android engg with 300k+ TC do? Genuinely asking because I'm worried about a career ceiling as mobile dev
Build Android App?
I was hoping for something more specific. How large is the scope, what kind of work is it that a mid/senior isn't capable of etc
Pretty sure square pays more than G
L4 Google paid more than L4 Square for me.
Square L5 is equivalent to Google L4 in expectations and pay
