I have an interview with square coming up for pair programming, the recruiter mentioned parsing in their email among the concepts to brush up. I know they don't do traditional leetcode DSA (which is mostly what I've done for interviews) so I'm wondering what that means? Am I gonna have to do regex or use niche libraries like HtmlParser in python? I know how to study for graph algorithms and other DSA but this one kinda threw me off YOE 2
String manipulation
This is for a SWE position I assume?
Yep
Hey OP . How did the interview go? Any insights. Even I am on the same boat
Hey OP. How did the interview go? Can you maybe share some insights?
I'm in the exact same boat. I haven't gotten much information from anywhere of what this slightly less traditional interview might look like. I reached out to an employee on linkedin and all they said was that the interview was a focus on collaboration and how I work mainly. But I would like to know the style of problems I would be solving.
Additionally I'm wondering if I can solve the problems in any language? I'm applying for a java role but I usually interview in python. I can DM you if you want to talk privately. Just let me know. Will be monitoring this post for the next few weeks leading up to my interview.
