Square vs. Robinhood
Both positions for NYC Both positions are mid-level Square: ~330k TC - better wlb - boring work (seller side) - cool team and manager - value the company mission a lot more Robinhood: ~400-500k TC (as of last funding round) - worse wlb - same work I do now (networking infra @ aws) - don't have a nyc office yet (opening in the summer) - worried about ipo after the whole GME fiasco - still private
What happened to the uproar of people posting that engineers should be quitting Robinhood because of GME? 🤣

Seller side is not boring work. If you already have this pre-existing bias. Don’t bother coming.

Cancel culture only lasts a week or two and then moves on to its next target. All those GME goons are back trading on Robinhood
