Can someone help me answer these following questions regarding Sr. Account Manager role @ Amazon: 1) What is the average total compensation breakdown (base, signing bonus, stocks 4/years, commission?) 2) How feasible would it to be transition into Program Manager within Amazon? 3) Is there a lot of cold calling? Understand each org is probably different - but in general? Current TC: $150K
This completely depends on what part of the business. There are Sr Account Managers in AWS, Advertising, retail businesses... etc. Generally, across Amazon for full-time employees, stock is granted on a 4 year cliff (5% first year, 15% second, then 40% third and fourth years). They help offset the first two years with a sign-on bonus (or at least they used to, I believe they still do) that pays out throughout the first two years. I can speak for Amazon Advertising salaries, you should expect a total compensation between base salary and stock/sign on above $150K and it is very possible to be well over $200K. I can’t speak for other businesses. In Advertising Sr AMs are not doing cold calling and do not have commission. Account Executives have commission and only a small subset of the AEs are seeking out new business. For the most part, AMs and AEs have a set book from the start (that can obviously shift). Again, this can be very different for AWS or any other businesses.
Probably the most detailed and helpful reply I’ve gotten on blind. Thanks!
A sourcer reached out to me about a Sr AM role for advertising. Could I dm you to get additional insight into the culture, expectations, wlb?
