Thank You - appreciate the input !
Hey, I worked with Walmart before. I know about strati. It's a massive rubbish junkyard. You'll regret it. If you still haven't signed it please consider this
Haven't signed yet, and really appreciate the input. Possible for you to elaborate a bit ?
Strati is supposed to be a private cloud for Walmart. But it's really pathetic. Nothing ever works and too much politics. When you join there you'll be paged all the time and you'll have no development work. Also Walmart culture is screwed up. It has yes men as managers so they'll overwork you. Servicenow, even though the salary is less is a far better place to work
What's the breakup of both offers?
ServiceNow = 35 fixed + 20% variable + 60k USD in RSUs over 4 years Walmart Labs = Havent gotten the offer yet, but is normally fixed + 25% variable + 25% RSUs
Recieved Walmart offer ?
55-60 LPA seems low for Staff Engineers.
What should a decent offer have looked like ?
To elaborate, IDK whether this is low for ServiceNow or Walmart. But Staff is usually L6 level(~L5 at LinkedIn), & should make something in the range of 80L-1+ cr.
yes th e offer seems to be low. i was given an ic 2 role as follows: 22.6 base 10 % bonus 46k USD stocks. 3 as joining bonus it is a software engineer role which means at least two promo away from staff. this was at 2 yrs and 8 months yoe. A TC of around 33 + 3 LPA it is servicenow offer
Was this at ServiceNow or Walmart ? Or are you speaking of the offer u got at Arcesium?
oops that was servicenow
Company: servicenow is modern, cloud technology Potential/future of the company: Seems bright for service now given the domain they are in I'd pick service now for the above two reasons. I'd you asked me during early days of covid, I'd say service now more confidentally due to their stock potential, but both companies stock are a little inflated. For work and technology domain, I'd prefer service now. If you are a product oriented person (as opposed to infra), that's the only reason I see Walmart winning
Servicenow vs Amazon offer for engineering manager. Which is a better environment and has security
What's ur offer at Walmart ? Which org u joined ????
Which location
Walmart Labs @ Bangalore ServiceNow @ Hyderabad
Congrats, Walmart paying more, I would take it
