Staff SWE at Walmart
A Walmart recruiter reached out for a staff SWE position. I'm currently T5 at Lyft. Are the two positions comparable? What are the pros and cons of joining Walmart? What are the chances of layoffs?

Layoff is always a risk everywhere. At least, it is a less risk at WM. Don’t know what T5 is. Staff is L5 at Walmart.

T5 is senior at Lyft. Equivalent to senior level elsewhere, e.g., L5 at Google or E5 at Facebook. Is staff at Walmart equivalent to that?

I would guess so.
People still shop at Walmart. People rarely take Lyfts.
