Staff software engineer - Machine learning at Venmo
Folks, I have an upcoming offer from Venmo for a staff role. Location being San Fran (preferred) , Chicago or Austin. Would like to know your take on expected TC to negotiate for each location and pros and cons. I believe this would level up to T25 engineering level in Paypal
I joined Chicago Venmo T25 in 2019 with a base $140K and $75K with 3 years vest, definitely low in retrospect! (stock has tripled since so you can say stock is $225) There's a lot more negotiating room on stock.
