I’m not HR or a hiring manager but I believe each listing on career site ties to a headcount.
As in, the listing isn't actually a single position, but is a bundle of them in an area... so they could only have filled half of them or something?
I think usually an FTE role listing has a specific hiring manager and represents a headcount that the manager has funding to hire for. It’s a huge company so I’m sure there could be exceptions. Maybe if the team /product isn’t specified it could be a generic listing from HR or something (speculation)
