How is working in a technology group in Starbucks like? Don't have an offer yet but wanted to learn about the culture and management.
Have a friend there. Doesn't pay well but it seems relaxed and he really likes the work environment.
The pay is very poor, but in return you are asked to do very little. Don't go in expecting to really learn anything. However, it's a great place to just coast. Makes msft country club look like San Quentin
A simple manager from Microsoft or amazon can become director or senior director over there. Level is pretty weak. Salary arent good too.
Every person I've ever met that works for starbucks Corp has been not very nice at all. Doesn't seem like a place to grow and is known for low pay.
Do you at least get some free coffees?
pure IT, nothing "tech" about starbucks. There's a reason they are not even on Blind.

I'm interested in the same question for Expedia. I'm actually sitting right across the street of you guys. Might take a short break for an interview there
Blind has Private Messages. Ya'll should sync up.
Stay away if you want tech challenges. If you have buddies in C suite then it's fine. Lots of cronyism here. Interested ?
