Been here a few years and the place isn't somewhere you want to work: 1. The tech stack is old. I mean ancient compared to other bigger tech. A few cutting-edge teams but everything else is Stone Age. So, don't come here to learn anything. 2. Politics reigns supreme. You aren't in the good books of the management, you are in danger. 3. PIP factory AF. This is fairly recent but yes, it's bad. 4. No emphasis on learning or growth. Promotions are almost rare in a team. 5. Internal Salesforce is always worried about layoffs or stock dip 6. Indian uncles everywhere. Toxic management style and they keep promoting one another. 7. Update: they are hiring way more in India than the US so expect layoffs and re orgs to happen. Cheaper labor. They pay a PMTS in India the same as an MTS in the US. 8. Update 2: their AI play is all smoke. Just hand waving but not bringing in money. I've already planned to leave with an offer in hand. Waiting for a vesting date. For your sanity, stay away. TC: 400k
Damn, I thought it was a good company.. this and intuit
It was. Not any more.
45 yo QA/TPM turned Engineering manager dude driving a 7 yr old Honda Odyssey to work. Worked in your company for last 11 years and for 12 years in Wells Fargo thru TCS before that.
Lol
As per blind the only good company to work is USPS
Is that a LMTS comp with refreshers?
No
How long did you work at SF? Did it cause issues in interviewing outside because of the old tech stack like monolith stuff etc?
It took some time to learn the latest tooling. But it wasn’t so bad. The job market being bad hurt more than the tooling.
Thanks, so a short stint won't hurt that much in terms of tech skills getting eroded
BUT IT PAYS ALOT. 🫥
Since when? They don’t. The stock hasn’t moved much over the last year or so.
Are you SMTS or LMTS?
LMTS
What’s the old tech stack ?
Dmamn!! I was looking forward to join!
So it’s like every other tech company in 2024
Pretty much
😂🤡
