Got an offer from Capgemini while things are not looking good here at Amazon with layoffs, forced URA and RTO, internal hiring freeze and low comp increment this year How long will I be safe so I can keep looking for better opportunities or jump ship now? How's Capgemini? Please advise Amazon 150K Capgemini 140K #tech
Honestly the peace of mind would be worth it.
Capgemini good?
Don’t think of good vs bad. At the end of the day, do they pay you enough to live your life?
It's good to see different firms when you are younger.
100% but it would have been even better with at least some hike
Stay at Amazon. They aren’t beating your TC.
Agree but don't feel safe here anymore lol
Cap Gemini is tied to client . If Client contract is over and they can’t find new project for you they will lay off too on a month . Cap Gemini is just middle man . Who is the end Clint you will work
Add yoe
Get another offer. Capegemini isn’t something to die for either.
Wlb is better in cap. Take it
Honestly, keep interviewing. Capgemini is a service based company and you will be on client side projects. Brings about another set of challenges and you will be at the mercy of clients, offshore managers and different kind of politics. And it is not as reputed as Amazon to help you get your next gig.
I know cap well - it’s great, way chilled than here… I’d jump…
Don't quit Amazon yet. If they fire you they will give you severance which is 2-3 months of pay and health care etc. Why would you want to lose all that free money? You can interview again if you get fired and start another gig
