Hello, fellow blind altruists, I got an offer from Stitch Fix for the role of Lead Software Engineer. Base - 156K RSU - 70K (25% quarterly vest) Remote I could use your insider insight as to where this offer stands in terms of being competitive and what the future holds for the company. That’s a dying company
Could you elaborate?
It’s a dying company because of leadership incompetence, the management consultant is the CEO, one thing management consultants are good at is talking, but not at execution.
A bit late to this but lead 1 == senior here. Lead 2 is a significant raise. You can't negotiate but you can try to get them to give you the next level up. Stock is in the toilet. Nothing but upside if you're joining. As for the state of the company... you didn't ask so I won't venture an answer. Nice people, fwiw.
This. The way to negotiate here is to level up in interviews. Push hard for this and walk if you don’t get it, if you need more. Future for company - not looking great. But the equity could be good if we somehow turn this around. Leaders are leaving left and right though which isn’t a good sign.
Offer seems low. I got a remote offer from godaddy at senior level that was actually comparable to that. If you’re confident in your resume and interviewing skills, you could probably find a stronger offer elsewhere.
Unfortunately, the said they don't negotiate. So it'd be either this or finding something else.
