That's true in a way. I had very few to start and hence I loaded up with 40% on options. That's ripping me How much you allocate for high risk investments out of your portfolio ?

Yeah you may get it back in couple of months. Bad thing for me that those were options .. I had very few to start with and hence I did the most obvious mistake allocated a good chunk to options .. usually I play safe and this time everything i anticipated went absolutely crap :( No more damn options
Good lesson learned. Find your risk appetite and stick to it.

Down $69k so far this month. But still up $240k for last 1 yr. Stocks - tsla, twlo, okta, sq, ccl and few more. Moving some money from twlo to ccl (carnival cruise) a month back saved me a little on downside. Should have done more though. Feels like a right strategy to move money from high flier profitable tech stocks to "travel" related stocks which has already started recovering as more people get vaccinated and get ready to pack their bags and take that eagerly awaited vacation :)
