Any predictions?
I am anticipating a slight tech sell-off as chickens come home to roost when companies have little to show for GenAI initiatives. Adobe was only the first domino to fall with other big wigs following in next 2 quarters.
Adobe was clearly the victim of genai. If you can generate illustrations and edits from prompts why pay for adobe and their 2^n software s. Gen ai might help other big tech. Msft with copilot. LLM will benefit Amazon also greatly. Their current chat bots are so crappy. Alexa integration with LLM would be super cool
I don't know about that. Adobe's tools were mostly for power users AFAIK. More likely than not that it's competitors like Canva that are more likely to be affected since they cater to the use cases that imagegen software addresses right now. Adobe Firefly was supposed to address this market, but so far, they seem to come cropper. Btw, I have no doubt that LLMs are going to be very, very useful. I am just circumspect about the extent of their impact to the bottom line... completely disproportional to the amount of hype that is surrounding it right now.
Lower before elections and then rally into the year end post election
Really, 35% of people think that there's going to be a 30% move in either direction? Y'all better be leveraging yourself to the tits to go long straddles in that case, vol isn't that expensive yet lol

I'd be surprised if it moved as much as 10% in any direction.
