Asana HR contacted me via Linkedin, Asking me if I am interested in Data Engineering leadership role. Had an initial screening conversation with HR Recruiter and a zoom call is setup to do the technical screen. But the interviewer never turned up on the technical interview call, and I waited for 30 minutes and disconnected. Sent a note to Asana HR recruiter and coordinator. No response. Is this common for Asana? #asana
Just tell your HR the interview went so well it ended early
It's part of the interview. They want to see how you handle unexpected situations.
We aren't allowed to conduct interviews with the camera on until the "virtual on-site" or "in person on-site". This is for interview bias. However, I can't say why you didn't get a response and that's not right of the interviewer...
Interesting, I have had a recruiter call over mobile phone, and next I have a HM screen call over zoom.. so that means I don't need camera on for that either?
I can confirm that it happened to me as well. Wrote an email after that still no response.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Pathetic. If you don't get a big apology, you can be sure they do this all the time. Even if you do, they might still do it all the time. Some recruiters have developed a sociopathic pattern of "apologizing sincerely" for their crappy behavior that they do constantly and haven't the slightest intention of changing.
