Stressed about PIP after dev plan | Amazon
I am already on dev plan at Amazon. I dont see much positive feedback from 1:1 with manager, even though I think I am meeting all the high expectations on the dev plan. I am putting most of time to complete my heavy tasks to secure my job. Should I keep putting this much effort on my job? If I get pipped, should I resign or try to clear pip or prepare and move ? Anyone with personal experience at Amazon?
Are you making improvements in areas you needed to? Or is this a personal issue between you and your manager? If you’re improving and you want to keep working, document everything. Over communicate your progress to keep your manager appraised of your progress. If your manager just doesn’t like you, prepare for PIP, Especially with layoffs coming - already being on Dev is a clear pathway. Apply outside and interview - but keep trying to save yourself.
Are you on VISA? If not then why even bother with the dev plan in the first place? I was put into focus recently, said fuck you to my manager and started lc and preps. Have a job offer in hand and waiting it out for the PIP severance. Amazon is a shit place and a lot other factors come into play other than absolute deliverables. It's not worth fighting because th3 culture itself is fucked up
