I have a phone screen with Stripe in a few days. I have read that their interviews require a little more understanding of project management and boilerplate code. For this reason I have decided to use Java, however I am concerned that it will take longer to write code. What sort of tools are we allowed to use during the interview? I know that we can't use generative AI. What about project templates to create a starter project (with maven and spring boot preconfigured)? What about IDE code templates to write the unit test boilerplate code? Lombok? Surely they understand that Java developers come in with a disadvantage. Especially during the integrations round. #stripe #interview #engineering #swe
