Hi, I have an upcoming Stripe onsite interview. Can someone tell me how to prepare for bug squash and integration rounds? I’m planning to use javascript for both. If anyone has used js, could you please share your experience. What are some of the topics I should practice? Thanks. #tech #interview #on-site #stripeinterview
I interviewed there a couple years ago. Bug squash make sure you know how to debug code. Run around unfamiliar code quickly in an IDE and understand how tests fail and where. Integration I don't remember. I think it was something about using black box APIs, but I might be wrong
For integration, make sure you move quickly through the exercise as it will have multiple parts. We are really looking for correctness (working solution) in the limited time we have. Check with the interviewer but I never ask candidates to write unit tests for integration (although I may ask hypothetical questions about how you _would_ test your solution).
So I just finished a stripe onsite (and got an offer). I genuinely don’t think there’s anything to prepare. If you are a competent engineer you’ll be fine. There are no tricks or leetcode like questions. It’s very practical, and was overall one of the better interviewing experiences I’ve had. They told me what each of my questions would cover beforehand so my recommendation would be to prepare a local environment setup for each type of question. I made sure my VS code debugger ran and installed a testing library and I am glad I had both of those options for the questions. So for example, I had a front end part to my interview. I made sure my local setup built and ran a boilerplate react app, with a test runner and debugging all working. For the backend questions I did the same thing but with a Node JS setup.
I just finished my onsite. How long did it take for you to receive your outcome?
Can I please DM you?

Any Indians Think Kashmir Should be Independent?
Would you mind telling me about a time you simplified a complex problem into its simple parts? How would you code a JavaScript function to identify the top k most frequent elements in an array? how can you generate a dataset of 1000 normally distributed points with mean=x and variance=y, provide summary statistics, and plot the density? Also, replicate these steps in a Python script within Codility's editor.
Which round you were asked these questions?
