I have a phone screen coming up for a Technical Account Manager position at Stripe in Chicago. Looking for some insight for what to expect for the interview process and possible TC if I pass the interview.
Current TC ~130
YOE ~10
Is this the initial phone screen with a recruiter?

Yup. Initial recruiter screen coming up. Just trying to get an idea what comes after, assuming I don't blow the initial screening.
Edit: actually just reread my email, email was from a recruiter but it says they want to set up a phone call with a hiring manager. Not sure if that changes anything

I haven’t done TAM but assuming it’s similar to other non-tech roles, you’ll have something like 4 or 5 interviews total with team members, maybe some off team members, and the hiring manager.
Each interview will have a topic - this is important. If your interviewer is doing their job correctly, they’ll be asking you specific questions related to the topic. So one might be about collaboration, and most/all their questions should be about collaboration, and you’ll get a pass/fail based on your collaboration abilities.
Your recruiter can (and should, without you asking) tell you the topic of each interview ahead of time. Mine even gave some guidance on how to answer.
Read the culture page at stripe.com/jobs/culture. Not everybody at Stripe is 100% bought in on this, but if your interviewer is, they’ll be looking for answers demonstrating that you’ll fit the culture and work inside our operating principles.
I was actually super into that page and have found myself fitting in really well, I think it’s probably a good litmus test as to whether people will love or hate Stripe. It’s very honest, I think.
Anyway, good luck!
