Stripe layoffs incoming
Have an ex-colleague at the senior leadership level who was saying that layoffs will happen sometime in the next quarter (Q3). I trust this source, just be cautious if you wish to proceed with an offer from Stripe. TC: 460k

In what universe is engineering the only group thatās laid off? If anything, they make up the smallest portions of layoffs (I.e Bolt, Better,etc.).
They will do a hiring freeze before any layoffs.

Q3 aligns with reviews that may drive decisioning. Still donāt think itāll happen until at least the first step of freezing. Thereās also already a morale issue due to thin staffing. I still donāt understand why these companies donāt start with freezing the expensive unnecessary benefit programs and bonus programs.
