Stripe vs Robinhood for New Grad

Stripe: 130k base, 50k bonus, 270k RSU Robinhood: 135k base, 35k bonus, 210k RSU Interned at Stripe over summer and had good experience but hard to get good read on culture and fulltime work-life balance from remote internship. Work opportunities at both companies seem interesting, both companies seem to have potential, and I am young so happy to live off base salary and hedge my bets, just not sure where. Have not negotiated either yet, but will do so soon. Would love any thoughts from blind. Main concerns are: Stripe offer is for Seattle, but Robinhood is for Menlo Park, so CoL differences and tax difference impact comp More growth potential at Robinhood for RSUs and career development? Love to get feedback from any Stripe / Robinhood employees out there Valuation of either company? Stripe seems undervalued at the moment after all tech stocks have been going high, and Robinhood might be overvalued since many stay-at-home traders are using it right now and they just had funding round #stripe #robinhood #offer #tech #career

stripe, even if the comp were other way around

Even if stripe was in SF, still a much better offer. Stripe is literally a rocket ship and if you’re given a ticket to hop on, you take that ticket imo.

Trust me, these minor comp differences at the new grad level don’t matter. What you should prioritize is your growth, and that’s definitely better at Stripe.

Why is better at stripe?

What?

Stripe. Higher upside potential, higher comp (the 270k was likely at the last funding round valuation so it’s climbed since then due to covid tailwinds), and better tech. This should be an easy decision.

Both good companies and offers. I would decide based on if you want to live in Seattle or Bay Area.

If you want location ask Stripe for SF. Robinhood is a dying company now that every broker has $0 trading

I don't think its as easy to pick a company without knowing (a) what your interest is (frontend? Backend? PM? MBA?....) and (b) what the role offered is. At first glance, I'd pick Stripe. Being a former intern helps in the first couple of years of your career. If the role at Stripe is in (say) developer productivity vs a (say) backend role at Robinhood, I personally would go for Robinhood. Anyway, you can't go wrong with either at this stage in your career. Congrats and enjoy.
