I’m struggling with a decline in my net worth. I know they say not to tie your self worth to financial success, but unfortunately I find that I do. That’s made the last few months hard. The stock market dropped, which means the illiquid shares I own in my startup undoubtedly declined too. It’s a long road back to the numbers I saw in my account late last year. I find myself feeling tired day-to-day. It seems like the hill I’m climbing, toward financial independence and eventually retirement, gets bigger and bigger with each day. On good days, I feel like I’m stationary. On bad days, I feel like I’m moving backwards. These feelings are very tied to the ups and downs of the market. I know this is a major first world problem. Is anyone else feeling this way? Any advice?
Hard to evaluate without your tc and nw
Inb4 1M TC and 10M NW and is sad they’re not worth 30M. That’s usually how it goes with these types of Blind posts.
And age, and yoe
Better learn not to look before a real crash comes.
Grow up. Enough with this tc and nw obsession…
You can join one of the companies whose stock doesn't go anywhere, just sits flat for years
😭
Don't look at your NW day to day. Monthly is enough. This will allow you to focus on something else
Relax and hold!
My advice is that you shouldn’t focus on money because then this shit happens.
