Capital One capew OP Oct 5, 2023

TC

Amazon vavrMonkey Oct 5, 2023

You can probably ask for more around 260-270k TC and then accept the offer.

StubHub nbj36lk Oct 5, 2023

You only got 200k base for stubhub? This is for senior?

Capital One capew OP Oct 5, 2023

TC, swe 2

StubHub nbj36lk Oct 5, 2023

Don't know about StubHub butHQ2 commute is not worth the 225K. People waste 2hrs everyday having to commute to hq2

Amazon ash1ngton Oct 8, 2023

lol you can live near a metro stop and not have to deal with this?

MRM TWG_202023 Oct 5, 2023

Anything is better than Amazon, and $25K isn’t enough to even consider working there. Go with StubHub and run with it. Congratulations and good luck with your next role, OP. TC: 105K

Anything is better than Amazon? Is that how your company gives consulting advice? Outside of people in G, Meta majority would take a career at Amazon. It's heaven for top performers and obviously sh!t for low performers but so is G, Meta, Netflix etc only diff is we are public about our stack ranking and trimming the bottom. Sorry but businesses aren't families ... get your money where you can and move on. I am definitely not at Amazon because I care for the place.. I am here because my work is exciting and I get paid alot of money to do it.

Amazon dFAG87 Oct 6, 2023

Not even that bad for low performers. Some peeps on my team really make me question everything I hear about Amazon.

Why not share real numbers if you want real opinions? 😏

Capital One capew OP Oct 5, 2023

ahaha I’m glad they haven’t pip’d the humor out of all of you yet

Amazon wanabedm Oct 8, 2023

94% of the people at Amazon don’t get piped.

Cisco lalasun Oct 5, 2023

Amz layoffs are pretty bad these days. I would stay away

Amazon banannaA Oct 5, 2023

We aren't laying off anymore in tech - can't speak for non-tech

Amazon givestonks Oct 6, 2023

Not laying off... unless you happened to be in AMP which happened last week.... So yes still laying off. Stay away from Amazon.

CLEAR CWsB35 Oct 5, 2023

What kind of career growth do you expect from Stubhub? It’s a borderline fraudulent ticket reseller

Roblox Broblox Oct 6, 2023

The only expectation is that it should not be Amazon.

CLEAR CWsB35 Oct 6, 2023

Stubhub has even lower rating on blind BTW.

Amazon wattd Oct 6, 2023

Functional company >>> Amazon

Career growth - I’d say Amazon because it still attracts recruiters (FAANG recruiters still look for name brands) and boomerrang prospect is good for the future. Amazon loves ex-amazonians. Quality of Life - this becomes a 50/50. If you get a good team, Amazon, but Stubhub sounds like a safer ber. I probably look biased coming from working in Amazon, but non AWS means you have a better chance of better WLB but less chances to be in a layoff proof position. But this is a sample size of 4 (me + 3 other friends working in non AWS in different teams) One considerable downside is the fear of PIP. But if you are a high performer and can manuever politics, you’re probably not worried on this front. Are these TC’s including Base + Equity + sign on? Just to potentially save you, check what your actual TC is year to year. Stubhub is private so their stock is worth 0 unless theres a buyback or they go public (to my knowledge, I havent worked in many private companies).

What non-aws pillar has the best tech? The cellular layout (yes, like terrorists) of teams and services in logistics is overwhelmingly terrible. No one will ever improve it because doing so would require herding mentally defective cattle. It's so obscure and teams have no desire to improve their products because then they would have even less chance of achieving mediocre wlb
