Have anyone went through this? Wondering if itβs worth it π Iβm also thinking of switching to sidings, not sure if that makes it look better.
Aesthetics of stucco over siding depend on your house style. I'm assuming the siding will be overlapped, horizontal- this is more typical of craftsman or traditional American home, if your exterior has prominent trim, window shutters and classic A-line roof- I think it's a great look. Smooth stucco is prominent in Spanish/Mediterranean style homes. In CA- you see a lot of white stucco, dark brown or orange roofs with ornate ironwork, also very pretty with lots of greenery in terracotta pots. If we're going by design principles- I'd stick to what fits the style of your home > geography you're in > cost of maintenance/how much value it adds. Ultimately what makes you happiest will be most important :)
Stucco is good for deterring termites
It varies from local to local and sub to sub. Best thing you can do is get three bids from different sub-contractors. If you have friends who can give you a referral and vouch for the craftsmanship it will help you evaluate the bids you get.
