Switch from hardware to software

Why do you want to switch? I would start from embedded software development jobs.

Well looking at the experience and TC it's pretty easy to understand. But yea I think if OP is just going for higher tc might be better to pivot to something in the middle rather than completely restart. In terms of prep, that's the idea. I'd propose trying the LC questions in python as well. C++ is very verbose so unless you're expert python should be a significant time saver which matters a lot in those interviews. Besides that if you can do about 80% of LC mediums in under 25 min you can get in pretty much anywhere.

Oh higher tc. You gotta aim for equivalent to e4 facebook to get to >200k right off the bat. E5 or senior looks like 350k tc. And that's gonna be at fb, google, Netflix, maybe a few others.
