Switched job in Nov 2017, received 2018 w-2 from previous employer
Surprisingly got 2018 w-2 from my previous employer which I left in Nov 2017. There’s an about $600 in box 1 and all other boxes are zero. I checked my deposit account, there is no deposit from my previous employer in 2018, nor any deposit in 2017 matches that amount. Is this normal? Will call them to find out on Monday.
Taxable benefit paid out after you left, maybe?
Should have got a 2018 pay stub still
OP only checked bank account. Wouldn't be surprised if a mailed paystub got lost or ignored.
