Switching to a teaching career

Ok I am no where near retirement but have a nice nest egg built up. My partner also works in a stable career brining in steady money. I have been thinking about switching to teaching career for a while now. I know pay cut would be massive but I would truly enjoy it and find some job satisfaction. I don’t know if this is my post-Twitter trauma though. I am so done with leetcoding too. Should I make the jump? Will I regret it? Looking for someone who made this mid career switch either way to tell me I am not smoking outta something… Current TC $300K Teaching TC < 100K?

In business schools, teach how to manage layoffs and earn >300k.

what kind of teaching? you could do tech related stuff on your own, bootcamps, online courses etc, having ex-twitter would help Academia wise, you'll need to get a master's degree at least if not outright PhD Standard education? just don't, it's not worth it, and the chances of getting shot are a lot higher than they should be

I have no experience in teaching and personally I don't like it because I don't have the skills. Anyway, did you have any previous experiences teaching? I am asking because, if you don't, I would suggest trying it part time before committing to it.

Another option: both. On the weekends I teach yoga (you could tutor kids or adults, or teach an evening class at a university if that’s more your jam).
