Computer arch - memory, IO , isa, interrupts Since you’re rcg Debug could be basic digital design related ( what’s the output for a given input), STA , board schematics. Basically they’ll test your thought process Sw: basic programming in Python or c++

They try to touch base caches, coherency protocols, pipelining, DMA, interrupts in computer architecture. And in debugging they start with platform components, BIOS and then go on to deal with different scenarios like blue screen issues, how to debug if system is not turning on after power up, wifi card is not working. They try to give you a scenario and ask you to come up with validation test cases too. For example Like writing test cases for a vending machine or an atm machine something like that. They may also touch base with pcie, usb, sata too. And some I/O peripheral components and their protocols like I2C, SPI etc. If the team is working on ssd validation try to know about nvme and raids too. It will be very helpful. If you have past experience, they try to touch base any problems you faced and how you started debug and how did you solve the issue. Better to answer them in STAR format. In software rounds may be they ask you about writing small pieces of code in python or c or infact any language you are comfortable with. Linked lists, some oops examples, pointers and structures. Best of luck with the interview.

Basic of computer architecture and cache coherency + method to solve coherency. Puzzle Basic digital k map solving kind of example

I had a very different experience while interviewing. Apart from the basic questions, they asked me senario based questions. Eg: they gave me a situation, wanted me to resolve it and explain how I will present it to the client. They gave me an ancient peice of code and asked me to explain my inference. However, the interviewers were very helpful and guided me throughout the interview. I guess they wanted to see my thought process. Overall I had a good experience. Hope it helps, All the best!

Can you please share your experience working in SVE team? In terms of growth and learning?

Intel gleo88 Aug 14, 2021

I did an internal switch to SVE in Oregon few years back. You get exposure to both pre and Post and the learnings are huge. Sometimes work can be overwhelming and frustrating but in general it is enriching technically. growth potential is dependent on how many opportunities you grab onto and also your manager like any other team. I have seen ppl move up grades pretty quickly.(1.5-3yrs)
