Are the glassdoor reviews accurate about the culture at Tesla? High turn over, low pay, very long hours... What keeps you working at Tesla? Seems like a lot of internal mess. Shocked to still see 10-14 hours/day of in office work to be successful!? How do you attract and retain talent? To me it feels like Tesla hasn't transitioned from startup phase to sane/organized execution phase. Am I reading into it too much? Are there concrete plans to make changes? How many enginners work there? Breakdown of SWE, Firmware, ME, EE, Ops (SRE, devops, production engineers), IT, Sales, managers, diectors.
The lack of responses from Tesla employees is amazing! Did I nail it or am I totally wrong?
I have a friend who was an engineer in the factory. Long hours and high stress was very true for him. His target pay was low too, but he happened to get his stock grant when the stock price was much lower.
Did the grant more than make up for the effort? Like crazy good or just enough?
