Tableau - Base Salary range for senior software engineer
Can anyone tell what is the Base Salary range for a senior software engineer at Tableau? I have 10 yoe and was told tha max was 180k for base for a senior software engineer.

Senior is a stupidly wide band at tableau. It’s most of the dev team at this point, encompassing people with 2-12 or more years of experience. Lots of seniors are more skilled than staff engineers, it’s definitely not fairly applied.

You were told correctly. Base pay range for Senior is 140k to 180k.
I see, thanks for confirming. Also since you are an employee, do you know whats the next designation band and their salary range? Like Is it staff software engineer or principal software engineer? Whats their base salary range?
Next roles are staff then principal. In general at Tableau, especially at higher positions, compensation is largely stock based. My compensation was ~70% stock last year (I'm senior in the above range for base salary)
