How is the culture, work/life balance and compensation at Tableau (eg compared to Microsoft, Amazon, Google Facebook)? I'm also interested. Would a Senior Product Manager have the same compensation as a Senior Dev?
I can't speak to comparative compensation, but in absolute terms I'm happy. Work/life balance is so good you might feel guilty. Culture could be more collaborative, and we're bleeding senior devs real bad right now because they all reached the end of their initial RSU vest and left, so we're in a bit of a brain drain. All told, I'd recommend it.
Culture in our team is very collaborative, night and day different to MS. PM comp is similar to dev. For senior and lower it is more generous than MS. Staff ~ 65/66.
