Got an offer from Tableau and accepted it. I know tableau inherited all of salesforce benefits. Are there any specific benefits tableau has over salesforce or is it all the same? How does tableau employees feel about sf benefits? Has it changed for better or worse. TC -300k Yoe - 11 yrs #benefits

LMTS?
Health benefits have declined somewhat, since Salesforce has more of a cost-sharing philosophy. On the other hand, I think Salesforce brings stronger financial benefits (*not* salary + RSUs). I'm talking things like better support for tax deferred options like mega-backdoor Roth. Salesforce also brought "unlimited" PTO for most, and so far managers I have encountered seem pretty good about honoring the spirit of that. Overall, benefits may be a wash. As far as base + bonus + RSUs (I know you didn't ask) I feel that things got a little worse, due to the declining role of RSUs, but others might differ with me on that.
Thanks for your insight. I also felt the TC was a little below what I expected. Overall I felt the role and the team was a good fit and got good vibes from my interviewers.
Worse. There is less refreshers and healthcare premium is increased.
Less refreshers or none? How much at LMTS?
It now follows the Salesforce model. You MIGHT get a refresher of around 60k for LMTS if you are a top performer.
Depends on who you talk to. If you are starting a family, the Salesforce benefits are far better than Tableau. If you’re single or are not planning on reproducing, the benefits got worse. No idea on the refreshers yet, but we’ve even been told not to give everyone 100% bonus, but to distribute bonus money unequally. It’s a very different culture to what Tableau was.
Are you a swe/sde?
