Hi everyone, looking to transition from consulting to an in house PM role, preferably for a slightly larger company (> 1000 employees) and have about 1.5 YOE out of college. I'm currently in a product management consulting role where I transitioned from more software development/engineering experience and its been super valuable for me to learn the ropes and basics in a product role but I feel like I can move on in both compensation/duties within role. I have been applying to #productmanager roles and have heard back mainly from smaller startups but would love to get any tips/advice on how to land interviews and offers. If anyone can give me a referral for a more early career PM role as well would be much appreciated! Feel free to DM or comment thank you everyone!! #product #pm #microsoft #google #facebook #apple #paypal #hulu #adobe #hbo #zillow #dropbox #wish #stripe #plaid #asana #atlassian #starbucks #figma #braze #expedia #intuit #reddit #redfin #salesforce #spotify #pinterest #instacart #etsy #uber

you should look into APM roles or focus on Microsoft/Amazon as I know they hire a lot of MBA/consultant backgrounds with your background in consulting and only 1.5yrs of experience, you may have a hard time getting interviews in PM
Yep, definitely focusing only on APM roles or PM roles that seem geared more towards early career/only require 1+ YOE
