Tech Lead @ Series A startup with 2 YOE?

Series A round of ~ $25M and < 50 employees Cofounder built a $2B business before this Head of sales did the same role at much larger competitor before this Has ex employees from Meta, Stripe, Slack Industry - Hardware product for manufacturing businesses on a subscription basis Recruiter mentioned TC 200k + equity, fully remote Looks like they don’t wanna pay someone with experience real tech lead money? Is this worth exploring even with title inflation? Share what you think can go wrong here, or if I should risk it. TC - 100k (not in the US) YOE - 2 #engineering #software #swe

Tech lead seems to be a stretch at 2 yoe. You could also try FAANG for a couple of years.

If they already have 50 employees and are trying to hire a 2 yeo as a Tech lead.... Either: - they are artificially inflating a title to make you feel better and there are already senior/staff engineers on staff running the show. - they are going to crash and burn. Look to see how senior those ex employees are. If it's just an artificial title jump then this seems like a great opportunity. If you will actually be one of the most senior people...don't.
