Tech market early May 2024
How is the tech market for SWEs with 0-5 yoe in this month compared to previous months this year.
Rough numbers: 120 apps Maybe 20 boiler plate rejections with no interview 2 interviews No offer yet, but feeling good about a job I interviewed for that’s multiple levels higher than ny current role, but a couple steps down in company quality/prestige.

Was feeling a little claustrophobic so did some sample interviewing last two weeks got interviews w 2 late stage start up 2 early stage start ups 2 banks 1 faang I feel like it cant be that bad, if it took two weeks to get all of those interviews 4 yoe Tc 260k
Where do you find companies to apply to? LinkedIn?
Yeah pretty much all linkedin suggestions and recruiters
It’s way better than last year this time.
Got many pings, interviews and some converting to offers. Looks good to me.
