Glassdoor average is around 50K GBP Indeed average is also around 50-60K GBP Yet income tax is high and living expense is high too. Are there any tech/engineering jobs in UK that pays >= 150K or TC worth of 200-300K?
FB/Goog and a bunch of hedge funds can pay >= 200k
I think e5/l5 above will only get such a salary.
@xcbklqqr - what are the roles for these levels, Principle engineers and directors?
No this is what it is in UK. Take it or getta outta here
Hedge funds pay very well in London. Try companies such as Two Sigma and Jane Street for thr big names. I believe DeepMind pays more than Google. Palantir is also US competitive for early careers. The US multinationals (Google, Microsoft, etc.) typically can't compete with the US offices on comp
This is similar to the tech salary in Canada. Time to move to the states!
Add the fact that London match box apartment is even more expensive, any tech worker there is idiot.
I’ve done a bit of recruiting for a large company placing tech people in UK and US. For a role that we’d pay $180-220K base in the US, we’d pay at most £120K in UK. Those are just market rates at the time.
You’re going to have to move, my friend
