Tech stocks

My investment is in mostly faang or big tech companies stocks( Apple, NVidia, MS, CRM, Adobe). For long term investment ( lets say 5-10 years from now), do i need to worry about current stock market. TC 400 #stockmarket #techstock#personalfinance #investments #tech

You can’t time the market. If you’re looking long term it shouldn’t matter. Also beware of the wash sale rule.

Thank you for sharing your opinion.

Don’t time the market. You should think about diversifying. Big Tech has strong earnings which should hold up. There’s a risk of P/E compression as interest rates rise.

Thanks. Thats great advice to diversify my investment. Should i wait for stock market to recover and then move some of my investment to other sectors?

Marathon Petroleum MagicSand Jan 21, 2022

Timing is impossible. The best strategy is to dollar cost average. Just shift a set amount each week or month. For more advice on what to diversify into look up r/Bogleheads or the Bogleheads website. There’s posts about the value of diversifying and how the US doesn’t always outperform. Diversifying won’t give you massive 30% gains, but it does protect against downside.

Don't sell AND buy the dip.

Yes, you should diversify. The returns of tech stocks and growth stocks in general are very likely going to trail the market in the coming decade. Now, the exact time to sell/diversify is unknown, so may be do a little every month.
