I noticed tesla isn’t a pay-master based on salary info at levels.fyi . What’s your motivation to work at Tesla ?

You're only looking at base salary. Coolness and koolaid is part of our TC
Titles are inflated in Tesla. if you are Sr in FAANG you will be Staff here. So compare comps accordingly.

But when your stock part of TC goes through the rally it is going through now, that more than makes up for lower 'on paper' TC. It feels good that all the effort has both, a good impact on the world and a good impact to your livelihood.
