Tesla engineers are making the layoff lists of Twitter employees. Who are these? What do they actually work on at Tesla other than sucking EM’s ass? While the majority of Tesla engineers can’t pass the Faang bar anyway, I really hope I do not encounter them in my career. #twitter #tesla

Ass-licking is common across non-engineers too. In fact it’s not limited to engineers at all in the corporate world! But this sense of entitlement further evidenced by your “rather be…” comment is just so special!

Maybe. But passing FAANG interviews doesn't make you the hotshot OP seems to think they are. Last I'd checked Glassdoor Tesla and Twitter both asked significantly harder questions than any FAANG.

Pretty standard as part of due diligence to cut anyone who doesn’t have a certain commit or pull velocity.
There are a lot of reasons why this is a stupid way to measure engineering talent.
