I’m on the final stages of interview with Tesla for a Sr User experience design position. Recruiter told me $175k base and about $50-100k equity which is negotiable prior to starting interviews. How much should I negotiate and what’s the max they would go?
Dang, that's it? I wouldn't jump from google if the max is only $275k
Is the $50-100k annually or over 4 years? My friend is a senior product designer at Tesla in California and this offer is much, much higher than hers if it’s annually. She’s an internal promo and she’s at 150k-160k base, and some stock like 10k a year. It’s very little.
Over two years
Offers seems right according to levels fyi. Though feels low for senior if comparing to G, location?
That is awful to RTO Who cares about Tesla
Are you L4 right now? Seems like comp isn't that high, why are you jumping? For the title or psychological safety?

Wish you the best! Is it an in person role?
Yeah that’s the sad part. 5 days from office I’m not ready for it
Didn’t even apply for this reason. You’re interviewing at the Austin office?
