Looking to switch careers from testing to Development. I’m making 33/hr in NJ and it’s not cutting it. What’s the best way? Should I apply for Junior Developer somewhere - I have all the knowledge of algorithms and coding, but no actual dev experience. I am using CTCI EPI and Leetcode currently.

When u have good knowledge of algs & coding, just start applying for dev roles. Google, fb have software engg in tools & infrastructure roles. U can apply for them
I figured I would. I did the onsite for SETI last May, wasn’t prepared at all. Didn’t study and used C++. Took way too long and was way verbose in my algorithm implementation. Looking back, I was asked such easy stuff. I use Python now, and I’m much better. Just waiting till May for SETI - I may apply to SWE though. Thanks for the input!
